Movies on the Lawn is a program designed to foster community while giving service members a chance to enjoy free time with family and friends. Outdoor movie showings are shown at or near military installations in the Washington-Baltimore region on the USO-Metro inflatable AIRSCREEN® movie screen.

Movie attendees enjoy free popcorn, drinks, and other refreshments, as well as fun summer lawn games and raffle prizes.

Don’t forget your lawn chair! For an enhanced movie-viewing experience, please remember:

  • Bring along bug spray and a lawn chair or blanket.
  • Arrive early to get a good seat and enjoy the refreshments, activities and prize drawings.

Note: No glass or alcohol is permitted at Movies on the Lawn. Refreshments and raffle prizes are offered complimentary to all service members and their families with a military ID (MWR, AAFES and USO staff and volunteers are not eligible for prizes).

Stayed tuned! Check back for more information on Movies on the Lawn events throughout the year and follow USO-Metro on Facebook.

The USO-Metro Mobile will be hosting Movies on the Lawn at the U.S. Coast Guard TISCOM in Alexandria, Virginia, as well as a Dive in! at the Joint Base Andrews Air Force Base Pool this August. In September, put your top down and enjoy our annual Drive in! at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Flood Lot.
