Turkeys for Troops

Turkeys for Troops will take place on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in the Community Ballroom at Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall, Building 405, 228 McNair Rd, Fort Myer, VA 22211, and at the USO Warrior and Family Center — Bethesda, Building 83, 4565 Taylor Street, Bethesda, MD 20815.

Please note:

  1. Holds: USO-Metro is unable to hold holiday meal boxes past the distribution date. Unclaimed meal boxes will be distributed to our waiting list.

  2. Cancellations: If an emergency situation arises and you can no longer attend the event, you must email HolidayPrograms@usometro.org a minimum of two hours before the event start time. Emails must include your (1) first and last name, (2) phone number, (3) service branch, (4) event location, and (5) reason you are no longer able to attend. We are unable to receive any other forms of cancellation (e.g. phone calls, voicemails, hand-written notes, verbal communication with staff or volunteers, etc.). If you do not email HolidayPrograms@usometro.org prior to the event start, you will be listed as a “No Show.”

  3. No-Show Policy: If you register and are not present to pick-up your items: (1) You will be ineligible to participate in holiday programs until 2020 as well as (2) ineligible to receive tickets through USO-Metro’s Ticketline program until July 1, 2019. (3) USO-Metro will notify your Senior Enlisted Leader/E-7 or above or Service Branch Leadership that you were not present to pick-up your items.

Space is extremely limited in these programs and those who do not follow through on their commitments take away assistance from other military families.
