FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How can I volunteer at the BWI USO?
Sign up to volunteer at www.usometro.org/volunteer or click here.

Are United States Veterans allowed access to the lounge?
The USO is a congressionally chartered nonprofit organization; we are not a part of the federal government. Our admissions policy is driven by our congressional mandate to support the American Armed Forces - specifically, U.S. Active, Reserve, and Guard service members and their families. While we respect all of those who have served our nation, we are a military service organization, not a veterans service organization.

I’m worried I may be experiencing a flight cancelation due to inclement weather. What are your lounge hours in these particular situations?
Please call our front desk at (410) 859-4425 for lounge opening/closing schedule updates.

I retired from the Marine Core after twenty-four years of service. When I was stationed in Denmark, I specifically remember the USO assisting my group when we traveled to Rome - arranging tours and helping us get around the city. I've had many great experiences like that with the USO, they've always been welcoming and accommodating - I never felt uncomfortable. I enjoy providing that service now.
